5/22/14 Update
Apparently, when I re-charted this pattern with the software that makes easy to read charts and produces written directions, I made several errors. My mother always said “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”

The pattern has been updated, moving the buttonholes to the other side , which affects only the first and last 4 stitches of rows 3, 15 and 29, and correcting the following errors in rows 23, 25 and 27.

Row 23, on the chart & written, is missing P1, K1 after the first K2tog and K1, P1before the last SSK.

Row 25 is missing K2 after the first P1 and before the YO and K2 between the last yo and P1

Row 27 the first & last K1, P1 should be K2.

6/27/12 Update

I just purchased Stitchmastery software that allows me to create text from charts. The new version of the pattern has new easier to read charts and ….drumroll please…written directions!

The hat that inspired the sweater is Baby Leaves Baby Hat by Heidi Sunday, although I made it one repeat longer.
