One pair straight knitting needles (or 29” circular knitting needle) size 10-1/2 U.S. (3 U.K.) (6.50 mm)

For ease in handling large piece, afghan can be worked back and forth on circular needle.

Work in stockinette stitch for body of afghan.

To finish, pick up and knit leaf border on all edges. Sew corner seams neatly. Weave in ends.
