Either 4mm OR 3mm hook

Yarn used with 4mm hook

Drops Muskat (Moss Green Colour 90, white Colour 18), one 50g skein of each colour.
100% mercerized cotton.
50g(1.76oz)=100m (109yds)

Yarn used with 3mm hook
Schachenmayr Catania (Crème 00130, Graphit 00393) one 50g skein of each colour.
100% mercerized cotton.
50g (1.75oz) = 125m (137yds)

Scissors
Iron

Gauge:
Coaster worked with 4mm hook & corresponding yarn (above)

10cmx10cm/4”X4”= 19sts x 17rows
Coaster size:
26cm (10.2”) x 19cm (7.5”)

Coaster worked with 3mm hook & corresponding yarn (above)

10cmx10cm/4”X4”= 28sts x 24rows
Coaster size:
19cm (7.5”) x 16cm (6.5”)

NOTE. The gauge and size are not critically important in this project, you can go even for thinner yarn, but keep in mind that the coaster measurements will be different.

The pattern is really classy and versatile when completed.
