This is a 100 % CLASSIC C R O C H E T pattern, not tunisian, and definitively not knitting.

♡ This slouchy beanie feels and looks like a knitted one, but it’s 100% classic crochet.

♥ The leafy pattern is gorgeous and it will be a head turn.

♡ Knit-look crochet pieces are also good starter for conversation with any crocheter. They won’t believe that it’s a crochet (not knitted) garment.

♥ LEAFY slouchy beanie has a few slices joined as you go, only one sewing line at the back of the head and it’s cropped.

♡ You can make textured, soft and stretchy beanies without working in rounds.

♥ Using UNFORGETTABLE yarn by RedHeart (or similar yarn) you’ll obtain a charming variegated unique look (photo 1&2).

♡ Because this beanie is very stretchy it fits for more head circumferences and it’s a great gift in the chilly season for any girl, teen or adult.

This pattern is written in English, American terminology with STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS and LARGE & DETAILED PHOTOS for each step for making this charming beanie.

• TEENS & ADULT

SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE Basic skills of crocheting are needed

MATERIALS:
• 190 m/ 208 yards of MEDIUM/ Worsted, Afghan, Aran yarn
• Hook – 5mm / H or other size needed to obtain the gauge
• Sewing needle, scissors

For my variegated beanie I’ve used UNFORGETTABLE yarn by RedHeart color code 03974, SUNFLOWER shade. Identical shade is NAKO’s VALS shade 85989.

By using LIGHT/ DK yarn and 4 mm hook you’ll obtain a child sized hat.
