When I am not knitting or yarn dyeing, most of the time I am looking at some beautiful designs and projects at Ravelry. Wingspan is a very popular shawl that is designed by Maylin and I like the new and unique construction of it so much. Therefore, I tried to incorporate a simple lace pattern with Wingspan construction and the outcome is simply gorgeous.

I showed Maylin what I made and also asked for permission to release this pattern which is mainly inspired by Wingspan. She generously said yes and now, leav is available at my Ravelry store. Leav is a very easy lace shawl to make. I only used a skein of 400yard of fingering weight and I beaded it with some purple, green and clear glass beads.

Leav is a nice spiral circular wrap that is very different from other shawls that I have made. The size is easily customized depends on how many leaf triangle you are making. I managed to make 10 triangles with a skein of Tumbleweed Aurora in colorway Wisteria. I can’t wait to wear this lightweight wrap few months later in fall.

I used about 35 beads for 1 leaf triangles so I used 350 beads for the 10 leaf triangles I made. Size 6 beads are used.
