The Leaves and Twists Afghan utilizes 3 different cable patterns, arranged in panels across the rows. After working a lower border in Seed Stitch, Pattern Row One specifies how to set up each panel, using stitch markers as a convenience to separate them.

I used 8 skeins of the soft and snuggly Cascade Pure Alpaca yarn, but your favorite worsted weight yarn is also well suited to this intricate but fun cable project.
