This simply elegant top is perfect for layering or for warmer weather. This is a flattering design for many body types and can be worn as a summer tee top or as an elegant layer under a sweater or jacket.
What a fun way to construct a top! The yoke is worked horizontally first, including optional front neck shaping, then the body stitches are picked up along the horizontal edges of the yoke and worked in the round.
Instructions are included for optional front neck shaping to create a scoop neckline as shown in the sample photos, else work it as a boatneck.
Short rows shape the flattering hemline with longer side and back length and also magically creates a slight A-line shape.
A vine of leaves trailing down the sides adds interest and makes it seem like the body section goes super fast! (It really does.)
The only seams are the underarms of the short cap sleeves! It’s as nearly seamless as anything could be without being totally seamless.
Instructions are both charted and written.
