Lebanon
by Laura Helton
I designed this shawl to make the most out of a small amount of precious fiber, and to be an accessible introduction to knitting with a fine unplied yarn. It features a simple, consistent stitch pattern and uses relatively large needles - so while you’re getting used to knitting with tiny yarn you don’t also need to adjust to tiny needles.
And the best part: because it begins at the longest edge, the rows get shorter as you go!
Sizes: Shawlette (Shawl)
Materials: Approximately 2oz Polwarth wool top, spun into 500 (800) yards of a 45wpi singles laceweight yarn, or equivalent alternative yarn.
