This Led-Zeppelin hat is based on the band’s logotype, used since 1973. It also features 2 electric guitars. Because the yarn is chunky, the hat knits up pretty quickly - I can usually finish one in about 2 hours. The design was created for a man, but would be suitable for either sex.

If you are new to knitting with 2 colors, this is a great way to get a taste as the chart is only 9 rows. You do want to use yarn with two very different colors for best results. If you alternate which color is the MC, you should be able to make 2 hats with 2 balls of Cascade 128 (or other chunky yarn of similar yardage) and have yarn left over.

I recommend knitting in the round using 5 double-pointed needles and the chart indicates where each needle ends. However, it could also be knit with magic loop. Since its knitted in the round, there are no seams.

Stiches used: stockinette, s2kpsso, k2tog.
