A sibling to the Leek Lake hat, the simple design of the Leek Lake cowl makes this an accessible pattern for most skill levels. Knit both for a coordinating set! The rustic yet sophisticated look of Quince & Co. Owl Tweet makes this a very versatile accessory. Imagine relaxing by a crackling campfire wearing your favorite flannel topped off with this cozy cowl. Bliss!

Cowl is knit from the bottom up using decreasing needle sizes to create a slight funnel shape.

Gauge calculated in stockinette stitch, in the round, after blocking.

Materials needed: 2 skeins Quince & Co. Owl Tweet (pictured in color Otus, undyed).
One 24-inch circular needle.

If you are sensitive to wool around the neck area, you may want to substitute another worsted weight yarn for Owl Tweet, as some have found it to be a bit scratchy. 100% merino wool would make a softer cowl (just be sure to swatch first!).
