This useful bag is entirely seamless and a brilliant stashbuster. It knits from about 200g of pretty much any DK yarn. I’ve named it after Leeland Road in West Ealing where my wonderful local farmers’ market takes place every Saturday.

This main body of the bag can be knitted from odd balls of yarn but you will need at least 90 m / 100 yds in one colour for the straps.

Once you have understood the construction of the bag, it is incredibly easy to make this using any weight of yarn and in any size.

The straps as written are designed to be long, so you can sling the bag over both shoulders. To make them shorter, just cast on fewer stitches, and change the number of stitches you join to match!

The pattern includes photo tutorials for the three-needle cast off and jogless stripe techniques used in the pattern, so it’s suitable for those who have not used these techniques before.
