Leftovers Potholder

Use up that leftover yarn with this old-time pattern my grandmother showed me.
Pull out your multitude of hastily wound leftover yarn balls and deflated skeins to whip up this recipe for quick, easy, and useful hot pads. Mix, blend, and clash your assorted leftover yarn for a deliciously simple design…these “leftovers” are sure to be a hit!
Hook size and gauge aren’t too important with this project, they’re pot holders afterall. A heavier yarn and an H hook should give about 16 sts for 4” (10 cm).
knitrageous, another raveler, said her grandmother used to make these, too, and called it “Magic Square”.
