This pattern for Leg Warmers is designed for wear by children ages 5yr through 8yr. They measure approx. 14” long from ankle to base of knee and are knitted in sheep shop yarn company’s sheep three yarn, a luscious 70% silk and 30% wool blend DK weight yarn. So no scratchiness and fabulously breatheable for dancers. The gauge is 26sts to 4” in Stst on a US#5 needle and both colors of yarns are carried throughout the work while knitting in the round. These leg warmers are knitted from the ankle up to the knee. My color choices were F107 and G38 (G38 is now a discontinued color for sheep shop yarn co. however their F59 is exactly like it).
