The Legacy Blanket pattern explains how to create the 5 coloured sections by holding two strands of yarn together to knit each one. The double strands allow for a transition between colours that provides a marled appearance. The colour sections can be optional and this blanket can be knit in a solid colour, also.

The skills needed to complete this blanket are: knit stitches, purl stitches, slipped stitches, cast on and bind off.
