La Leggierezza (meaning lightness) is the Italian subtitle for one of the Trois Caprices poétiques by Franz Liszt. It expresses the great delicacy, the lightness and the nimbleness of this musical work to be performed by the brilliant playing of a virtuoso pianist.
The design shows this elegance thanks to the fine fibers used (kid mohair, silk, baby alpaca) and to the color contrast highlighted by the use of yarns of different weight: a fingering weight and a lace weight.

• Crescent-shaped shawl (approx 16 1/2” x 88”/42 cm x 220 cm)

• Shown in Drops Baby Alpaca silk (wheat #2110) and Drops Kid-Silk (off-white, #01).

• Required: 3 balls Baby Alpaca Silk and 1 ball of Kid-Silk -I used exactly 410 yds/375 m and 196 yds/180 m respectively.

• Worked outwards from the neck.

• Short row section at the beginning to reduce significantly the usual point at the neck.

• Main two-color stitch pattern: ancient lace pattern with bound off stitches.

• Lace border + scalloped edge with some picots.

• A larger shawl is possible by increasing the length at the center by 2.4-2.8 inches/6-7 cm (directions included). 860 yds at less are required.

The pattern includes both detailed written directions, charts and links for special techniques.

La Leggierezza (la légèreté) est le sous-titre d’un des Trois caprices poétiques de Franz Liszt. Il traduit la délicatesse, la finesse et la grâce de l’œuvre rendues par la dextérité et la virtuosité du pianiste qui l’interprète.
Cette élégance est représentée par l’utilisation de matières nobles (kid mohair, soie, bébé alpaga), et un fil dentelle beaucoup plus fin pour augmenter le contraste des deux couleurs.

• Forme en croissant (environ 42 cm x 220 cm).

• Modèle présenté en Baby Alpaca silk (blé, coloris 2110) et Kid-Silk (naturel, coloris 01), de Drops.

• Fil à tricoter : 3 pelotes de Baby Alpaca Silk and 1 pelote de Kid-Silk (j’ai utilisé respectivement exactement 375 m et 180 m).

• Tricoté de haut en bas.

• Section de rangs raccourcis au début pour réduire au maximum la pointe qui se forme au niveau du cou avec ce type de construction.

• Le point dentelle principal est un point dentelle ancien avec des mailles rabattues.

• La bordure ajourée se termine par un feston avec picots.

• Il est possible d’agrandir le châle de 6-7 cm en hauteur (les explications sont fournies ; il faudra au moins 780 m de fil).

Le modèle est fourni avec des explications écrites détaillées, tous les diagrammes nécessaires à sa réalisation et des liens vers les techniques particulières.
