SKEINO’s LEHUA SHAWL (ley-hoo-ah) is named after the Ohia Lehua Tree in Hawaii. The usually red, salmon, pink or yellow flower is the official flower of the Big Island.

The shawl is a great beginners piece to learn how to knit with different yarns. This easy side-to-side design will allow you to knit a triangle shawl without having the fear to run out of yarn. Constant one stitch increases will let the shawl grow to its final size.

The project uses 7 different yarns, one skein containing 6 yarns and one skein as a base yarn. The simple Garter Stitch will let the different textures shine. The easy yarn changes create fringes on one side. It is optional to use leftover yarn to add fringes to the other side for a symmetric look.

The handpainted yarn will not pool or zigzag because of the constant increases. This knitting kit comes in beautiful colorways and they are all one of a kind. Find your favorite color before they are gone.
