Leith Hill
by Jane Burns
THE INTRICATE patterning on these socks combines lace, twisted stitches and wrapped stitches to create a dynamic fabric. Designed by Jane Burns, they use Cat and Sparrow Lone Ranger Sock yarn, a smooth, squishy hand-dyed superwash merino wool.
It gives a lovely stitch definition thanks to its single-ply construction. “These socks would look gorgeous in any tonal or semi-solid yarn, but avoid anything too variegated or you will not see all your beautiful work!” Jane advises.
