Lemon Meringue Hat & Mittens
Made in a cheerful color, the Lemon Meringue Hat & Mittens are all about the cables. The hat and mittens are worked in the round from the bottom up. One cable chart is worked on the hat brim and mitten cuffs, and another is worked around the hat and as a single panel on the mittens.

Finished Size Hat: 16¼ (17¼, 18¾)“ circumference and 7¾ (8¾, 9¾)” tall. Hat shown measures 17¼“. Mittens: 6¼ (7½, 9¼)” hand circumference and 9 (10, 11)“ long. Mittens shown measure 7½”.
Yarn Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts 100% Superwash Merino DK (100% superwash Merino wool; 220 yd 200 m/ 3½ oz 100 g): Birch Leaves, 1 skein (hat); 2 skeins (mittens); 2 (2, 3) skeins (if making both hat and mittens).
Needles Hat: Size 6 (4 mm): 16” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Mittens: Size 2 (2.75 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holder (mittens); cable needle (cn); tapestry needle.
Gauge Hat: 28 sts and 35 rnds = 4” in body patt. Mittens: 28 sts and 40 rnds = 4” in St st; 18 sts of Knotty chart = 1½“ wide.

- The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. The mittens are worked in the round from the cuff up with a thumb gusset.
