This beautiful texture is a new variation of the traditional Lemon Peel stitch. The resulting mesh-like stitches have a little bit of stretch making it perfect for washcloths or dishcloths.

Any cotton yarn will work. The sample is made using Peaches N Crème Stripey.

Gauge is not necessary.

Use a size H or I hook depending on the yarn and your tension.
