Lemon Peel washcloth
A free version is also available.
• DESCRIPTION: The Lemon Peel stitch creates a gorgeous bumpy texture. Its ease makes it a favorite among crocheters. The bumpy texture lends itself to many uses and projects, from scarves to blankets.
• GAUGE & SIZING:
Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. For reference, my gauge is 14 sts and 14 rows per 4”.
Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. This pattern is written to produce a washcloth that is roughly 10 inches by 10 inches.
• ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES USED:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sp = space
SC = single crochet
DC = double crochet
* * = Repeat what is in asterisks the indicated number of times
• MATERIALS:
About 95 - 115 yards of I Love This Cotton in Coral or any #4 cotton or cotton blend.
A 4.0 mm (F) hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
