Previously published in Brave New Knits, this sideways knit Hat is now available to purchase individually.

Featuring an unusual construction, this Hat starts as a series of panels which are later joined with a 3-needle bind off. Pattern is provided in 3 sizes, and in both written and charted format.

The individual pattern contains illustrated tutorials on the techniques required to complete this pattern. For the book version, photographic tutorials demonstrating the various techniques are available in PDF format from the tutorial section of my website.

Errata: (book version only)
10/9/10:
The finishing section of the pattern should read as follows:

“Hold the two needles parallel in the left hand, with WRONG sides of the two panels together. Use the three-needle bind-off…” Pattern currently says right sides together, which would remove the distinctive ridges.

1/3/11:
The chart is 8 sts short on all sizes, as 2 repeats of the 4 st pattern have been omitted. The written instructions for this aspect are correct.

Accessibility Statement
The main PDF for this pattern is colour blind accessible. It uses black text on a white background. Charts are in greyscale and do not rely on colour.
