If you are looking for a hat to keep you warm during the cold winter days and at the same time to be modern and beautiful, Lanny Hat might be your answer. It combines classic cables in a fashion way. The hat is dense enough, yet soft and warm. In addition, the deep brim contributes to the warmth and comfort.

The hat is suitable for women as well as for men. It is available in two versions: watchcap and beanie. This can help you to choose the right option for you depending on your style. In the watchcap variant, a funny pom-pom can be added, as shown in the photos.

The hat is worked seamlessly in the round, bottom-up. It starts with a tubular cast on, which gives a beautiful look of the brim and continue smoothly with 2x2 ribbing.

A wonderful addition to the Lenny Hat could be Lenny Mittens, which have the same cabled motif.

MATERIALS
Watchcap: approximately 130 gr. or 242 yards (+36 gr or +67 yards for optional pom-pom) of Aran weight yarn.
Beanie: approximately 80 gr. or 149 yards of Aran weight yarn.

GAUGE
19 sts / 26 rows = 10 cm (4 inches) with the largest needles in stocking stitch after wet-blocking.

NEEDLES
Size 5 mm (US 8) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Size 3.5 mm (US 4) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Size 3 mm (US 2½) or size needed to obtain gauge (optional).

FINISHED DIMENSIONS
Circumference (unstretched) to comfortably fit average adult head sizes 51-58 cm (20-23”): 44 cm (17.3”).
