The Lepidodendron Shawl consists of a series of the lacey Lepidodendron pattern sections representing Lepidodendron tree stems, separated by simple eyelet sections reminiscent of the tree’s internal cell structure.

The shawl is a generously sized rectangle (75cm x 210cm) that is light and airy due to the combination of lace patterns, and lace weight yarn. It has no edges as such, and a provisional cast-on allows for the same look at each end. The 12-row pattern repeat of the Lepidodendron section is easy to memorise, resulting in a relaxing knit experience.

The suggested yarn is a lace weight 100% Merino superwash yarn that can be replaced with any lace weight yarn of a similar yardage.
