Lepidoptera Socks
No, moths haven’t infested these socks—but the lace pattern might make you look twice.
Lepidoptera socks are worked toe up and begin with Judy’s Magic Cast on. The foot and cuff use a beautiful staggered butterfly lace pattern which creates the impression of wings and body of butterflies or (gasp) moths. The heel is a simplified short row (no wraps!) and a link to a tutorial video is included in the pattern. The cuff can be worked plain or beaded if you prefer your butterflies with a bit more pizzazz.
Lepidoptera socks come in 3 sizes which roughly correspond to youth, average width and wide width adult sizes. The socks can be worked to any length.
Lepidoptera—the order of insects which includes butterflies and moths.
