Leprechaun and Pot o' Gold
Feeling lucky? Meet Patty MacBottom, the chubbiest, cheekiest little leprechaun around! With his glorious bubble butt and a pot full of gold, he’s ready to bring some mischief (and a whole lot of charm) into your crochet lineup. This digital crochet pattern guides you step-by-step to create your very own squishy little trickster—plus his own lucky pot o’ gold!
Perfect for St. Patrick’s Day decorations, gifts, or just because you love a plump little leprechaun with attitude.
✨ WHAT YOU GET ✨
A detailed, easy-to-follow PDF pattern (NOT a finished toy—your hands will be doing the magic!).
MATERIALS NEEDED
50g DK (8/8) cotton yarn in Light Green, Dark Green, Orange, and Peach
10g DK (8/8) cotton yarn in Brown, Gold, and Black
3.00 mm (D) crochet hook
Tapestry needle, fiber fill, stitch marker
2 x ½-inch buttons, 1 x ¼-inch button (Buttons are only for pieces intended for ages 3+)
Fabric glue & optional white acrylic paint for adding life to the eyes
NOTES
Patty MacBottom is worked in one piece from the bottom up—because, of course, that needs extra love!
His hat, beard, hair, belt, and arms are worked separately and sewn on.
Firm stuffing is key—but don’t overdo it unless you want him looking like he’s been sneaking too many shamrock shakes!
He stands around 5.5 inches tall, making him the perfect pocket-sized troublemaker.
Optional eye detail: a little acrylic paint gives his button eyes extra personality.
