This sock does have a very fairy-tale air; the top of the cuff looks almost like the battlements of a castle (or the top of the turret, at least), and the broad twisted cable pattern cascading down from it could indeed be a waterfall of Rapunzel hair. Happily the stitch patterns are all charted (no writing out), and O’Neill is careful to make sure that the cables are offset where appropriate. Adjusting the sock for size is very easy; it’s merely a matter of omitting extra purled stitches between motifs.
