’Let it flow’ ist ein kreisrunder Poncho in zweifarbigem Brioche, der in der Runde gestrickt wird. Das “Muster” ist genau genommen eine freie Improvisation. Da für so einen Poncho eine Menge Maschen anfallen, wollte ich etwas möglichst Unkompliziertes, das wenig Nachdenken erfordert. Andererseits sollte aber auch etwas Bewegung ins Spiel kommen. Daher habe ich in unregelmäßigen Abständen kleine Kurven (mit ausschließlich nach links geneigten Abnahmen) eingebaut. Dadurch dass jeder Mustersatz sieben Mal wiederholt wird, ergibt sich insgesamt dennoch ein regelmäßiges Bild.

Garn:
Ich hatte mir diese spezielle Farbkombination in den Kopf gesetzt. Man kann sich aber natürlich das Leben einfacher machen (und viel Fadenvernähen sparen), wenn man als Kontrastfarbe ein schönes Farbverlaufsgarn wählt.

’Let it flow’ is a circular poncho in two-color brioche, knitted in the round. Strictly speaking, the “stitch pattern” didn’t start out as a pattern but as a free improvisation. Since there are lots of stitches in a poncho, I wanted something simple that didn’t involve a lot of thinking (hence the name). But on the other hand, I wanted some kind of movement. Therefore I made little waves (solely consisting of left slant decreases), at irregular intervals. In the end, it looks regular, nevertheless, because the stitch pattern is repeated seven times.

Yarn:
I really wanted specifically this color combination. But, of course, you might want to make your life easier (and avoid a lot of sewing in loose ends) by choosing a self-striped yarn for your contrast color.
