Lethe Wreath
Lethe is one of the five mythical rivers in the underworld of Hades. It means forgetfulness or oblivion, the concealment of truth. The waters of the river had the power to make souls forget their memories, so that they may be reborn and start anew. It’s a beautiful symbol of life and death.
With the holidays right around the corner, here is a simple ornament pattern for those little bits of yarn left from other projects. All you need is a wooden ring (for stability) and a little bow to attach to the wreath. I’ve included instructions for fingering to worsted weight yarns, but it is quite easy to adjust and very forgiving. My favorite is to pair a fingering weight yarn with mohair to make a DK weight or novelty yarn for some fun pops of color.
Bonus? This pattern can be adjusted to make scrunchies as well! Suggestions are included in the notes section. All you’ll need is a hair tie instead of a wooden ring!

Magic loop (using 32” cord), double pointed needles, or shorties will work for this pattern.
