Let’s Stay Gnome
Let’s Stay Gnome Crochet Ornament by Over the Head Threads
Pattern Description:
An adorable gnome that can either be used as a decoration, or a Christmas ornament!
Finished Measurements:
3.5” tall and 3” wide, without twine loop
Gauge:
14 rows and 14 sc = 3.5”
Materials:
Hook: 5mm hook
Worsted Weight Yarn: Red, Teal, or chosen color of yarn for hat/body.
Beige or chosen color yarn for nose and feet.
I Love This Yarn! in white metallic for the beard, or color of choice
Tapestry/Yarn Needle: metal is best, plastic will work, too
Twine, Yarn, String, Pipe Cleaner: whatever you want to use to hang the ornament
Optional: stuffing used for dolls and teddy bears. I used Poly-fil (polyester fiber fill), but feel free to experiment! You could try roving wool, filling from a pillow, wool batting, yarn scraps, soft fabric…you won’t need much, about a handful or less!
I used a variety of yarns I already had around my home, but I found matching color ways for dark red and teal in both Red Heart Super Saver and Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn! Specifically, these color ways: Antique Teal (HL), Cranberry (HL), Burgundy (RH), Real Teal (RH).
