Let's Twist Sock
If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at knitting cables, then this sock is for you…
This sock design has a Mixed Cable pattern running along the centre of the sock, incorporating a Stocking Stitch and Garter Stitch Cable that twists alternately together. There is also a simple cable twist either side of the central design - making this project a good choice for beginners.
Let’s Twist Sock is constructed ‘cuff-down’, with a wedge toe for comfort, gusset and heel flap.
These socks were knitted using 1 skein (100 g) of Artesano Definition sock yarn in Azure (6705), 75% wool and 25% polyester - approx 400m - this amount is sufficient to knit the largest size sock.
Gauge is measured over Stocking Stitch, 28 stitches and 36 rows to 10 cm / 4 inches or 7 stitches to 2.5 cm / 1inch using UK size 3 mm dpn’s.
