Lettuce Leaf Shawl
A sparkling shawl for all seasons.
A design based on drops of dew clinging to freshly picked lettuce.
Difficulty - Intermediate
Pattern uses 30g of size 8/0 beads if the edge is beaded, 20g if not. This is for the amount of repeats specified in the pattern, bear in mind that if you wish to do any more chart repeats you should work it out as an extra 10g of beads needed per repeat if the edge is going to be beaded.
This pattern is chart only for now.
ERRATA - On Row 3 of Chart C there sound be black squares to indicate ‘no stitch’ next to each YO in the repeated section. They are currently k stitches. This will be fixed on the chart as soon as I can get to it.
I have always wanted to design a shawl, and have always wanted to use the Lettuce colourway for something. This design was born out of trying to find the right leaf pattern for the yarn, and my obsession with beading shawls. It is a quick knit and great for all year round.
It is possible to use 400m fingering weight yarn and 40g size 6/0 beads if preferred.
