Level: beginner.
You need to be familiar with the basic stitches used in amigurumis (chains, single crochet (US)/double crochet (UK), slip stitches, increases), and also with popcorn stitches. There are photo-tutorials to learn how to make invisible decreases with both right- and left-handed versions, if you need them.

Yarn and hooks: You can use any yarn weight you prefer, you only have to choose a suitable hook so you can crochet tight enough so the stuffing does not show.
