Meet Lewis the Lion! Lewis is the sweetest lion you will ever meet. And it’s a good thing, too, because everywhere he goes, his animal friends ask if they can touch his mane! He just smiles and leans down to let them pat it. Personally, he thinks he’d rather just have regular fur on his head since his mane upkeep takes so long! But at least it makes his friends smile, and that is worth the work!

Like Lewis, this mane will take YOU some extra time to make, but the end results are just so FUZZY! This easy-to-follow pattern includes one PDF file with detailed instructions and pictures explaining how to crochet and assemble all the parts to make this lion.

Only basic crocheting skills will be needed: chain, single crochet, increasing and decreasing.

Materials:
• Crochet hook size: 3.75mm
• Medium worsted weight yarn (size 4): tan (body), brown (mane), white (muzzle), black (eye detail and nose)
• Yarn (also called tapestry) needle
• One pair of 12 mm safety eyes
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• An amigurumi brush (a pet slicker brush works perfectly too) for brushing out the mane

Note: I used the follow types of yarn when making my lion:
Tan – Loops and Threads Impeccable yarn in “Soft Taupe”
Brown – Red Heart Super Saver in “Cafe”
White – Red Heart Super Saver in “White”
Black – Lion Brand Yarn Pound of Love in “Charcoal”

Final measurement for the finished lion will be approximately 7 inches (18 cm) tall sitting down and 8.5 inches (21.5 cm) tall standing up.
