My Leyland Cypress Cowl is a knit bandana cowl inspired by Leyland Cypress hedges, early morning garden walks, and the joy of meditative textures amidst quick knits. As we cozy up, light the fireplace, and hunker down for the frosty winter weather, I aimed to infuse all of the seasonal sensory inspiration that surrounds us into this design in tandem with the instant gratification of this beautiful Happy Place: Apricity yarn that Toni of TL Yarn Crafts developed with Hobbii. I envision this cowl being worn as an everyday and every occasion staple with your favorite vest, sweater, puffer coat, or wool overcoat. The ethereal blown yarn bring a lofty yet insulating fabric that’s full of depth when paired with this cozy waffle-like stitch, and the bandana construction makes this the perfect functional statement piece that you’ll never worry about falling off of your shoulders!
