Leymus socks were inspired by the Sand ryegrass (Leymus arenarius)
which grows on the sandy dunes on my favourite beach.

Leymus is a toe-up sock with gusset and a short-row heel. The pattern is written for magic-loop method. Lace pattern is charted.

The pattern is in English.

SIZES:
Small (Large).
Finished measurements: Foot circumference 7(7 1⁄2)” 18cm (19cm).
Foot length can be adjusted.

MATERIALS:
Yarn: 1 skein of Väinämöinen Knitlob’s Lair (75% Superwash merino, 25% nylon; 440yd 402m - 100g).
Approx. 218 (328)yd 200 (300)m of fingering weight yarn.

The sample was knit in colourway Vilja.

Needles: US 1,5 30’’ 2,5 mm 80 cm circular needles.
Adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.The pattern is written for magic loop method, but can be adjusted for dpn’s.
Other: Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

GAUGE:
34 stitches and 48 rows = 4” 10cm in stockinette stitch.
