Skills needed
Casting on, knitting in the round, decreasing, using double pointed needles or magic loop, changing colors, sewing in ends, blocking
Size
Adult. Begin later in the pattern and divide colors into rows accordingly for smaller sizes.
Yarn
Fingering weight yarn in the colors of your choice. The amount depends on which flag you’re doing, but it doesn’t take much since the garment is quite small. The examples shown are in Knitpicks Palette. See the end of the pattern for a list of specific colors for different pride flags using this yarn.
Tools
- 16-inch circular knitting needle, size US 3 or 4
- Double pointed knitting needles in same size
- Tapestry needle
- Bowl or head mold for blocking
