Lia Pullover
The Lia Pullover is a unique construction designed to result in a fully reversible sweater. Wear it with the stockinette v-neck in front and a fun lace surprise on the back, or opt for the lace to steal the show in front, with an open-v neck back. The Lia is designed to be the perfect effortless layer, warm enough for chilly nights but the lace and v-neck keep it breezy for those warmer days. The pullover is designed to look just as elegant layered over dresses or shorts alike.
A more accessible version of the pattern PDF is available. This version features no italicized text, size 22 pt all-black font, no pictures in the body of the pattern, and all text in a single column. A schematic is included in the pattern but it is not needed to complete the garment. There are charts in the pattern, but the accessible version includes text instructions as well. Both versions of the pattern include a sans serif font (Fira Sans).
The Lia Pullover worked seamlessly from the top down, the sweater is worked flat until the v-neck is complete, and then it is joined in the round worked as a traditional raglan. The pullover is designed to have 10-15 cm [4-6”] of positive ease, but the sizes are listed in final bust circumferences so you can choose as much, or as little, ease as you’d like.
The finished bust circumferences are 80 (88, 100, 110), 116, 122, 133 ½ (137 ½, 145 ½, 157 ½), 169 cm [31 ½ (34 ½, 39 ½, 43 ½), 45 ½, 48, 52 ½ (54, 57 ½, 62), 66 ½ inches]. The white sample is a size 2, shown with roughly 13 cm [5 in] of ease.
The pullover is knitted using DK to light worsted weight yarn, or yarn held together to achieve a similar weight (approx. 224 m [245 yd] per 100 grams). The pattern has gauge of 22 stitches x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette, and 18 sts x 32 rows in the lace pattern. Yardages are 736 (801, 907, 983), 1044, 1109, 1199 (1258, 1327, 1484), 1541 m [805 (876, 992, 1075), 1142, 1213, 1311 (1376, 1451, 1623), 1685 yds].
Sizes 7-10 (finished bust circumferences 137 ½ - 169 cm/54 - 66 ½ in) have yet to be test knitted. If you are interested in test knitting them please send me a message!
