This free crochet pattern is easy to follow, great for beginners and can be made in just a few evenings. The pattern I implemented in this blanket is basic but yields a wonderful texture while retaining a soft feel to the touch.

The pattern is simple and the possibilities for color combinations are endless. (My next task: crochet one in a feminine color palette for my cousin’s new baby girl!)
