To knit this Liam baby cardigan sweater pattern, coat or jacket I used 70g of light #3 yarn for 0-3m size (about 205 yards). You will need more or less yarn depending on the size that you’re making and you can also use any yarn with similar weight like DK or 8ply yarns.

  • This baby cardigan can be knit using straight needles and is worked from the top down. You will also need seven 12mm size buttons for 0-3m size.

This pattern is written in US English terms ONLY. It is NOT available in any other languages

This knit baby cardigan sweater can be made smaller or bigger by simply using bigger or smaller needle size from NB and up to 9-12M. This simple and effective technique of making an item smaller or bigger works perfectly because in standard size measurements, the difference between the different sizes is only about 1-2in (2-5cm). By simply changing your hook or needle size you will achieve this size difference all around. One thing to keep in mind though, tension does vary from person to person which can affect the final size. Measurements are available at the end of the tutorial for 0-3m size only.

Step by Step video tutorial is available on my YouTube channel. Link or video name is at the top of the written pattern. It is highly recommended that you refer to this tutorial to help answer any questions you may have as it goes hand in hand with the written instructions but please keep in mind that there may be slight difference between the written pattern and the video.
