I’m sure I’m like everyone else, we all have that one skein of sock yarn that we bought that we are “saving for something special” but we have no idea what that is. You don’t want to use is on socks, but you don’t want another beanie either. This cowl uses that one skein!

Lian Yu is a light-weight lace cowl. It is that perfect transition piece for when the weather can’t make us it’s mind whether or not it wants to be warm or cool! In my neck of the woods, during the spring months, we have two temperatures; hot and humid or cool and foggy/rainy. This piece is perfect for those rainy spring (or fall!) days!

It has simple 1x1 ribbing, stockinette, and fish tail lace. It is knit in the round, on 2.25 mm needles. You can easily go up or down on your needle size, or even change your yarn weight. the simple lace repeats make this cowl easy to adapt to what you need.
