Libertas Mitts
The Libertas Mitts are a fun and easy way to play with colour in your crochet. They only use a small amount of yarn, so they’re the perfect stash busting project. And they work up quickly, making them great for a last minute gift.
A confident beginner could make these too!
This pattern is available in both U.S. and British/Australian crochet terms, you will receive both files, just choose which pattern suits your needs :-)
Materials:
Dk/8 ply yarn - Main Colour: Approx. 65m (70yds)
- Contrast A: Approx. 40m (44yds)
- Contrast B: Approx. 26m (28yds)
Note: For mitts pictured Main colour is Dark Grey, Contrast A is Yellow & Contrast B is Light Grey.
U.S. G/#6 (4mm) crochet hook (or size to give correct gauge/tension)
Tapestry needle to weave in yarn ends
Size: Designed to fit an average woman’s hand (6.5”-8” 17-20cm measured around palm above thumb, however this style is quite stretchy and will comfortably accommodate a larger hand)
Gauge/Tension: 18sts double crochet = 4” (10cm) If you have more stitches, go up a hook size, if you have less stitches, go down a hook size.
