This pullover combines all my favorite things: a great yarn that is a joy to knit with and holds up to lots of use, cables which are fun to both knit and watch develop, and stockinette stitch that is easy to wear and relaxing to knit. I plan on knitting “Liberty” a few more times with different length necklines--some crew necks and some turtlenecks!

The cable patterns are written out as well as charted to accommodate the different styles that knitters prefer. This is a great pattern to introduce knitters to charts. Follow along with the chart while still referring to the written pattern--use whichever method makes the most sense.

There is very slight body shaping which can be worked as written, omitted entirely, or enhanced. This shaping is worked in the stockinette stitch area so that the cables remain untouched.

It is my wish that all knitters who make this sweater enjoy the process of creating it as much as I did, and have a pullover that they can relax in for years and years.
