The lace on this hat pattern reminds me of Bricks. When I think of Liberty I think of our founding fathers laying the bricks of our country. It is a fun and easy hat to knit. If you use markers you can easily find your error in between the repeats. I found it was usually a forgotten or dropped yarn over. Since I teach many beginning knit and crochet classes, I try very hard to create patterns to let those new to the craft look amazing.
