Liberty Shawl
The Liberty Shawl is a hybrid between a scarf, shawl and a wrap, offering you many ways to wear it! It uses three skeins of yarn, and has a fading sequence to switch between them. Each end of the shawl features an intricate lace motif, which is maintained up the edges of the entire shawl. The middle section is a more simple, minimalist motif to offer some contrast.
Suggested yarn: Cosmic Strings merino singles in colourways Strength, Shadows and Raindrops.
You could also use 4ply yarn with some silk content to add shine. If you would like to use up leftovers, only use skeins of 60g or more as you will need this amount for the fade sections. Using skeins of less than 100g will make the shawl shorter unless you add a fourth colour.
Needles required: 3.5mm or size needed for gauge. 27 sts and 38 rows per 10 cm / 4˝ in stocking stitch, measured after light blocking.
Dimensions of the shawl after blocking: 40cm in width by 174cm in length.
