Inspired by Episode 5 of Season 6 of the Outlander Series (Give Me Liberty), these crocheted wrist warmers are designed to invoke the image of an emerging United States of America Flag. Worked in two colors of Honey Girl Farms Deluxe Sock (100g/400m/437yds): Flowers & Candy, and Nesta, only 25g or 110 yards of each color is required per pair of wrist warmers. Instructions are provided for a hand width circumference above the thumb of 7” to 8”.

Like socks, it is important that wrist warmers hold their shape when worn. The best choice of yarn for making wrist warmers is a wool/nylon blend with at least 15% nylon. Second best choice is a non-superwashed wool. 100% superwash yarn should not be used, because the wrist warmers will continually relax and get bigger with wear and will never return to the original shape, even after washing.
