These socks will be done lickity-split, because you won’t be able to put them down. The soothing basket-weave-ish pattern looks so good in so many different dye techniques: tonal as in the samples shown here, self-striping, and highly-variegated. Heel increasing is so much fun with this on-the-sole-technique, and a soothing slipped-stitch toe-up heel flap is the icing on the fun-cake.
YARN
approximately 250-420 yards/228-384 m total fingering-weight yarn. I used Knitted Wit Sock in Channel Island.
NEEDLES
US1/2.25mm needle for small-circumference knitting, or size needed to get gauge. I use a 32” circular for magic-loop knitting.
GAUGE
32 sts & 48 rounds = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round, measured after blocking.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Finished circumference: 6.5 (8, 9.5)“/16.5 (20.5, 24.25) cm.
Socks shown with a 5”/12.75 cm leg length (measured from top of heel, customizable).
