Life in the Country
Just a quiet life in the country, or is it?
Originally our third Stunning Mystery Society 2018 mystery knit-along. As we knit our shawls, we will enjoy the mysteries of English Village life.
Knit as a two-color mosaic shawl/poncho in optional sizes and shapes. We will be doing lots of mosaic (slipped stitches), lace and adding optional focal beads. You will have the option of making three shapes: a triangle, ¾ square, or full square poncho; each in either small or large size.
Stunning String Studio has Life in the Country Kits in your choice of over 160 colors, complete with beads, stitch markers and the pattern. You can choose yours here.
As we knit, we will also be discussing the mystery book A Quiet Life in the Country by T.E. Kinsey.
The clues will be spread out over 8 weeks with simple, non-stressful sections released each week.
If you’ve never done a Mystery Knit Along before, you are in for a treat. Discovering the mystery along with your fellow knitters is the best.
The MKAL discussions will be in the Wild Prairie Knits group, so come and join us.
Pattern is fully written and charted. This pattern is knitCompanion® supported. What does that mean?
Skills Needed
Each clue will be fully written out and charted. The stitches used are basic, so it is a relaxing knit, but with enough detail to keep you interested. Basic knit increases and decreases (yo, k2tog, ssk) are included, but anything beyond that will be explained. We will be offering a good introduction to working mosaic (slipped stitches), lace and adding beads.
