Lifelike Robin
This pattern is 10 pages long and contains loads of photos to guide you through the step-by-step process of making your own robin… It is available in both UK and US crochet terms.
The robin is small, a bit fiddly to make and involves lots of colour changes so I would say that this is an intermediate level pattern. If that hasn’t put you off, then you’re good to go!
You will need:
A 2.5mm hook
Dark brown, grey and red dk weight yarn, plus a very small amount of dark grey dk yarn (just for the beak).
A small amount of toy stuffing for the body.
6mm black safety eyes or domed buttons (or the eyes can be embroidered if preferred).
Jewellery wire - I use dark purple wire that is 0.25mm thick. I work with 4 strands of wire held together so it may be possible to use thicker wire than this if necessary, and just work with fewer strands at a time.
A pet slicker brush (if you don’t have one of these, using a piece of Velcro can also do the job as you only need to make your robin slightly fluffy).
Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and a stitch marker.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you.
