Los calcetines lifeline son unos calcetines de construcción top - down ( se tejen de la caña a la puntera con un talón de solapa reforzado). El patrón incluye dos esquemas (uno para el calcetín derecho y otro para el calcetín izquierdo) y las instrucciones escritas de los esquemas.

Para tejer éste patrón tienes que saber hacer estas técnicas, o tener la autonomía de buscar cómo se hacen.:

• Tejer con la técnica de magic loop.
• Montaje retorcido alemán.
• Recoger puntos de la solapa.
• Costura kitchener.

Las tallas que hay en el patrón son 3. Talla 1 (2, 3). Las tallas se eligen según los centímetros de circunferencia del pie. Y las tallas equivalen a 17.5 (20, 22.5) cm de la circunferencia del pie.

Materiales:

Para este diseño he utilizado dos ovillos de Drops Fabel. Es una Lana de grosor fingering especial para calcetines.

Para la talla 2 y del número de pie 39 he utilizado 60 gramos en total.

Este hilado equivale a un ovillo de 100gr. - 400 metros de calibre fingering y tiene que ser especial para tejer calcetines.

Herramientas :

• Aguja de 2,5 mm. o de la medida necesaria para obtener la muestra de tensión. Este patrón está explicado para tejer con agujas circulares con 80 cm. de cable, y usar la técnica de “magic loop”. Aunque se puede adaptar muy fácil a: agujas de doble punta (DPNS) (5 agujas) o agujas circulares mini con 23 cm de cable. Si usas éstas últimas necesitaras las agujas de doble punta o las largas para poder hacer la puntera.
• Un marcador de inicio de vuelta (Miv).
• 3 marcadores auxiliares.
• Aguja lanera para hacer la costura kitchener y esconder las hebras al final.
• Tijeras.
• Cuenta vueltas (opcional pero muy recomendable).
• Bloqueadores de calcetines (opcional pero muy recomendable)

These socks Lifeline are an intermediate knitting level. They are knit cuff-down in the round, except the heel flap that is knit back and forth. The pattern includes two schematics (one for the right sock and one for the left sock) and written instructions for the schematics.

The techniques you need to know to knit this socks are:

• Magic loop.
• Twisted German Cast On.
• Picking up stitches at the heel.
• Kitchener stitch.

In this design you will find 3 different sizes represented as 1(2, 3) for feet with a circumference of 17.5(20, 22.5) cm

Materials:

For this design I used 2 skeins of Drops Fabel. It’s a sock fingering weight yarn.

For size 2 and foot 39 I used 60 grams total.

The equivalent is a 100 grams and 400 metres skein of fingering weight yarn designed for socks.

Tools:

• 2.5 mm needle, or size needed to obtain gauge. This pattern was designed to knit with long circular knitting needles (80 cm) using the “magic loop” technique. If you wish you can easily substitute for DPNs or short circular knitting needles (23 cm). If you decide to use short circulars you will need an extra pair of needles for the toe.
• 1 border marker (BM).
• 3 extra markers.
• Tapestry needle for kitchener stitch and to weave in the ends.
• Scissors.
• Row counter (optional but recommended).
• Sock blockers (optional but recommended)
