Ligado means united or tied in Spanish. This throw was designed for a dear friend who got married and united to the love of her life.

If you’ve ever wanted to try brioche knitting, this throw gives you an easy way to start.

This pattern is written in 3 different sizes: small (baby blanket), medium and large. A beautiful unusual ribbing frames this throw. The center is textured and squishy for warmth and comfort, using a simple yest intricate looking brioche stitch. I chose a light yarn for a soft texture, but a more traditional worsted or Aran yarn will increase the stitch definition. On each side of the center panel is a cable looking motif that doesn’t require a cable needle. The whole pattern repeat is easy and can quickly be memorized, giving you an elaborate look despite a simple execution.

Once blocked, the sizes of this throw are approximately:

Baby size: 35 in. wide X 45 in. long
Medium size: 48 in. wide X 60 in. long
Large size: 70 in. wide X 90 in. long
